Inspired by the blockbuster horror film Cabin Fever, directed by Eli Roth. Cabin Fever was actually Eli Roth's film debut, and a debut it was. Terrifying audiences to such great extent that some wonder if it was the greatest horror film ever.

Later in 2005 a sequel dubbed 'Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever' was released to a not so great reception. A direct-to-DVD film that never could quite live up to the original. Perhaps the fact that Eli Roth had almost nothing to do with the film and that it featured none of the cast from the first.

Nonetheless a prequel is in the works and the release date has not yet been set.
