A song inspired by the sadly common problem amongst females. And that problem is cysts growing in the female's ovaries. While most are harmless and will eventually go away. With some women the cysts may persist throughout most of their life until they reach menopause.

There are forms of birth control to prevent the cysts from reoccurring. But while most of the cysts are benign, there is a 5% chance that the cyst can be cancerous.

If you or a friend or family may have an ovarian cyst please contact your local practitioner for further analysis.

Signs include: Dull aching, or severe, sudden, and sharp pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen (one or both sides), pelvis, vagina, lower back, or thighs; pain may be constant or intermittent—this is the most common symptom. Fullness, heaviness, pressure, swelling, or bloating in the abdomen. Breast tenderness. Pain during or shortly after beginning or end of menstrual period. Irregular periods, or abnormal uterine bleeding or spotting. Change in frequency or ease of urination (such as inability to fully empty the bladder), or difficulty with bowel movements due to pressure on adjacent pelvic anatomy. Strange nodules that feel like bruises under the layer of skin.
